The Client
wezeo
WEZEO is a Slovak product studio building AI, robotics and fintech applications for clients across the CEE region, operating from Bratislava and Denmark. They’ve been perfecting AI, robotics, and fintech products since 2011, and position themselves as the largest software studio in hybrid app development across the region.
Dalinora, their AI‑enabled investment platform, was moving out of proof‑of‑concept and needed a cloud foundations built for a supervised financial environment – not one adapted from a prototype.
The Challenge
A Single EC2 Instance
The 2,000-Table Ceiling
The platform relied largely on one instance, making it operationally fragile and hard to scale.
Manual by Default
Too much of the environment depended on manual setup rather than a repeatable process.
No HA Baseline
Production had no proper high‑availability path, and no room to grow into one.
Not Launch‑Ready
The setup wasn’t appropriate for a licensed financial product preparing to go live.
The Delivery
In Numbers
0
Weeks from AWS account creation to a tested, production-ready foundations.
9
AWS accounts structured under a secure multi-account model.
0
Environments delivered: development, preproduction, production.
~ 100%
Of the foundations delivered as reusable Terraform.
In Technology
In Detail
Production-First by Design
The foundations follows AWS Well‑Architected principles from day one – built for launch, not adapted from a prototype.
Platform Thinking from Day One
Preproduction was part of the original ask, so wezeo got a mature platform shape from the start, not a shortcut to redesign later.
Everything as Code
Terraform is the backbone of the foundations, with GitLab‑integrated delivery reducing manual cloud operations.
Governance
- Multi‑account structure: management, shared services, security, logging & monitoring, workloads
- Clear separation across development, preproduction, and production
- Documentation built for handover and team autonomy
Delivery
- GitLab to AWS integration for delivery workflows
- Reduced dependency on manual cloud operations
- Support hardening the pipeline, including Trivy scanning
Application Platform
- CloudFront for static delivery
- ECS Fargate for long‑running services
- Lambda for event‑driven workloads
Security Baseline
- Stronger security posture suited to a licensed financial product
- Well‑Architected principles applied across the foundation
- Built to reduce compliance and delivery risk ahead of launch
Data & Workloads
- Aurora PostgreSQL and Redis sized for the platform
- Logging and monitoring handled through a dedicated account
- End‑to‑end ownership of the AWS foundation
Enablement
- Reusable Terraform modules with clear usage patterns
- Reduced manual operations, avoided future rework
- Plectrum continues on as ongoing technical partner
The Outcome
From Prototype to a Production-Ready Fintech Foundation
Dalinora moved from a single EC2 instance to a secure, multi‑account AWS foundation in 5 weeks. wezeo’s teams can now build launch‑critical product work on infrastructure made for a supervised financial environment, instead of one that would soon need replacing.
Speed
A tested, production‑ready foundation delivered 5 weeks from AWS account creation.
Audit
Infrastructure changes flow through GitLab pipelines instead of manual cloud operations.
Focus
Application teams build the Dalinora product instead of rebuilding cloud foundations.
Trust
A stronger security baseline, built for a licensed financial product from day one.
The Client Reference
“Building an investment platform in a supervised financial environment leaves no room for shortcuts in infrastructure. Plectrum understood that from day one. They delivered a secure, well‑structured AWS foundation that matches what’s expected of a regulated fintech – clean environment separation, a strong security baseline, and Terraform with documentation our teams can genuinely build on. Just as valuable was the way they worked: clear communication, real ownership, and honest advice on architectural decisions. Plectrum acts as a partner, not a supplier, and we continue to rely on them as our product evolves.”
